Bucephalandra sp. 'Brownie' is a captivating and highly sought-after Buce variety in the aquarium hobby today. Originating from the lush riverbanks of Borneo, Indonesia, this plant stands out with its rich, dark green leaves that frequently exhibit stunning chocolate, burgundy, or purple undertones under proper lighting. While it remains a prized gem among aquascapers, it has rapidly gained popularity because of its low level of maintenance and incredibly easy care. This versatile plant is perfect for the foreground or mid-ground of your aquarium, and thrives when attached to rocks, driftwood, or tank decorations. True to its signature compact form, this unique plant features elegant, iridescent leaves that only grow to about 1" to 2", making it a perfect choice for nano tanks and large aquascapes alike. It is easily propagated by simply cutting the rhizome and attaching it to another surface or rock.
